Caller: SES apparently I'm on a 1. do not call register 2. have "blocked" this number via call guardian (on a Telstra phone) 3. Rung SES directly asking to be taken off their register and they STILL continue to ring. This is harassment. If anything, it makes me less inclined to want to make any sort of donation.

Caller: National SES Volunteers Association This is legitimate - the National SES Volunteers Association. Their website address is: www.nsesva.org.au and you can buy raffle tickets (if so desired) on the website www.nationalsesvaraffle.org.au or by calling the 1300 number.

Caller: National State Emergency Service Volunteers Association Yes, they are legitimate, but they do NOT raise money for the SES. They are an association which lobbies on behalf of the members, not the actual organisations. From their website: "The Association works to achieve nationally consistent goals that represent the interests of its volunteer members, advocating for them when appropriate." "Our Mission: Advancing SES Volunteers through National Representation and Advocacy". Support them if you wish. I do not. I prefer to make donations directly to the organisations for better equipment, training, support, etc.

Caller: Someone wanting to sell raffle tickets I am really over phone calls from places trying to flog raffle tickets. First we had them knocking on our doors, now they are calling our telephones at all hours. I don’t pay good money for companies and charities to advertise and try to sell me stuff. Advertise on TV or radio, not on peoples private phones.
