Same just happened to me. A message popped up with a phone number for me to call - my screen appeared locked with messages saying do not close your screen. Call this number immediately. We are from Microsoft Defender. When I called they said they worked for Microsoft and asked what the message was on my screen and then wanted to access my computer so they could fix it. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Of course I didn't let them. No company would ask to access your computer. I turned my computer off and restarted it and it was fine. I am going to report them.

They said that something about sorting my Amazon prime account or $99 would be taken from my account. I don’t have an Amazon prime account

Called on 31 Jan and the voicemail they left (because I didn't answer) said my Amazon Prime subscription will be renewed for $99.99, but guess what? I don't have an Amazon Prime account. Surprise!
