SCAM (DO NOT ANSWER they nearly scammed me for cardless payment) They called saying that my details were on Amazon as someone set up an account with my details. I have never used, they then asked me to down load an app onto my moblie and to go into my bank details to stop cardless payment which I have never used before and it all just felt a bit odd so I said I had to go and that they to call me back later. Scary as to how close I was to giving them cardless payment without my knowing as never used cardless payment before.

Scam caller, I returned the call multiple times out of curiosity and found them answering the phone at a call centre claiming to be from Ebay and Amazon.

I had a call from this number (02) 4072 7058, they left a message to say they were from paypal and that they had a payment request of $299 and if I wanted to cancel to press 1 or to call the number. Now this call came through on my work mobile and I have no cards on this phone or linked to any online shopping. Definitely a scam

Incoming call. Scam
This number phoned today & didn’t leave a message. I phoned them back. I heard voices then they hung up. I phoned back straight away. A lady answered. She said she was from Ebay. I asked why she had phoned me? She said I had ordered a android phone. I said “I did not”. I asked how she got my number. She hung up immediately. Call ID said Newcastle.

Caller: Overseas call centre who admitted they are scamming people!!!

DON NOT ANSWER!!!! Scam call. They are a overseas call centre. If you call multiple times you will be greeted by Amazon or ebay. I called multiple times and asked about various products. When I question what their business is actually called as ebay and Amazon are not one country, I am answered with profanity and advised that Australians are "dumb f@@ks", and deserved to be scammed. They won't hang up. They will continue to swear at you and still try to continue to scam you by asking what was the last item you purchased.

Didn't pick up but had voicemail (bit at beginning cut off so don't know who they were pretending to be) -- an AI voice -- saying they were debiting my account and to press 1 to stop this. Ignored it, of course, and have blocked the call. But interesting looking at the dates of these reports. (02) 4072 0857 is obviously going on a bit of a blitz.

I received a call from this (02) number but didn't pick up cause I don't recognise the number. They left a voice message saying 99.99 will be automatically deducted from my account automatically. To cancel it, press 1.........

Scammers!
Tell you someone made an eBay account using your details, made a purchase incurring hundreds of dollars you will have to pay if they don't fix the problem etc. Asks you to Google "my 1p address location" and read out what it says... DON'T!!!
