Caller: Ebay Scammers WARNING WARNING.....Do not answer or have anything to do with these creeps. They pretend that you have an unauthorised transaction on your ebay account and then try to get you to download their app to supposedly help protect you from future unauthorised transactions. I checked with ebay direct and they said that is not their number and warned me about the scam which is rampant in Australia at the moment

Given the number of random callers at the moment - its probably a scammer advising me about a $900 charge from my Amazon or Ebay account. I'm such a luddite I have neither.

$299 will be deducted from your account. Do you want us to stop it. Open up your App store and download ..... They hung up when I said I felt very uneasy about this.

A poor computer-generated voice message asking you to press 1 or call back to cancel a purchase if you hadn't made it. An obvious scam.

Caller: "mark" This guy rung my BF not half hr ago, saying he had to log onto google Playstore to confirm a $300 gift voucher he had purchased. The discussion became very heated and the man constantly told my BF he will phone back and these actions must be completed or he was in trouble financially with Ebay. I told him that Ebay would never behave like this and my BF hung up!
