Bad recording on answering machine telling me that my internet had been compromised and I needed to change details by pressing 1 on my phone to talk to the engineer. Cant these people be stopped.

Caller: Robotic calling machine lady An automated system is calling my phone with a recorded message saying my IP address has been compromised & being accessed from several countries. Multiple calls from this number going to my answer machine.
Can it be stopped?

Caller: (02) 3459 9999 I received the call from this number when I answer the call answering machine telling me that my internet going to be disconnected in 24 to 48 hrs.

Caller: left no name Recording of msg begins halfway into the message; all that can be heard is "...countries so we need to change your IP address and router which will be free of charge. So please press 1 to get connected to the technician."

Caller: Recorded Message Woman with foreign accent telling me that my internet had been compromised in several countries, so it would be disconnected. Was instructed to press 1 to speak to the technician ... no chance of me doing that! Also, didn't even get the first part of the message because the robo-dialler didn't have a brain so didn't realise that they had to wait for my answering machine message.
