I did not recognise the number so left it to go to message bank. No message left

Called claiming I was having interrupted internet connection. totally untrue as had been using internet all afternoon. Claimed interruptions were due to a accident in area previous day. I insisted I couldn't hear him and he called back on this number and I was able to get the number. Obviously they have various numbers they can use.

Answer landline & just the dead space you get before one of those overseas call centres gets on the line. Hang up.

I received a call from this number. It went to recorded messages (I don’t pick up phone calls unless I’m next to the phone) and then the call was immediately terminated.

Obviously, the owners of this number must have spent a lot of money acquiring this number - (02) 3456 7809 - so they expect, somehow, to make a lot of money from it.
