Caller: I don't know, message bank took it, got the number but no message

The number they supplied was 08 1101 9702, When I dialled it Telstra comes back with a recorded announcement that "This number cannot be reached with that area code please try again without using the area code-this has been a free call etc...". When I try again using just the 1101 9702 or your format 61 8 1101 9702 then I get the standard "This number could not be connected". Then I had a flash of brilliance, what if it liked the 61 but not the 8 so that is what I dialled, 6111019702. The number rang like a normal call but no-one answered. It eventually went to what sounded like a message bank system with "The called party is not available" so I hung up, they have my number, so it will be interesting to see if they call back.........
