Radio station 2KY played the ad for this service over and over - it got quite annoying. One of the audio snippets of the radio ad was racecaller Ian Craig saying “but the Ryder is Bureaucracys!”, meaning racehorse Bureaucracy had won the George Ryder Stakes (1991). It was from his actual call of the race (mixed in with other sports commentaries, which made up the ad).
Somebody called in to Zorba The Greek Peter Peters’ show on radio 2KY to complain about the ad being played constantly, and Zorba agreed, saying he too was sick of hearing Bureaucracy win the Ryder Stakes. Not long after that, the ad was revoiced with a younger sounding annnouncer and different sporting commentaries. The service was discontinued around 1995, from memory.
