Got a text saying I've ordered a smart tv for $2800 from AMZ and to call this number. It's a scam!

SCAM alert

I got the same call 02/04/21 telling me ive $2969 for a Cannon EOS R6 camera.at AMZ order I D 155-TX-66A0.
I dd call the number and was diverted to somewhere OS.
when they answered i said to them i dont have amazon account,They said to me are you sure as we have your details on line .They reckon i was in NZ (which i wasnt and never have been) i then hung up

It’s a scam!!!

Got a text saying I had ordered a laptop I hadn't ordered and if not me, contact this number 1800 491 593. I haven't bothered to call this number at all since I assumed it was a scam, just wanting to let everyone know it is still doing the rounds.

Claimed I had ordered a $4000 laptop at AMZ and asked me to contact (+61) 1800 491 593 if it was not my order.

I didn't contact them and I haven't placed such an order.

Received this message.

Caller: SMS purporting to be from Amazon

Two messages - the first saying delivery of a parcel was on its way, didn't specify who from. Second message stated payment had been received for a Canon Camera quoted an order no, date and AMZ,

Caller: Text asking me to ring 1800 491 593

This is ridiculous if this number is continuously involved in a scam why aren't the authorities either immediately cancelling the number and have a guilt edge security as to identifying the person issuing numbers to.

Text message states that you purchased canon camera for over $2k etc etc at a certain detail and to call the 1800 number for any dispute.
