I had a pop up box with voice warning saying that a new Trojan virus that cannot be detected by current software had affected my computer and to call the 1800 number. I did this and spoke to Zane [agent 110] who went through a list of urgent problems I had but while talking with him I began to notice a lot of serious spelling errors on the screen that he was displaying to me, so when he asked me to provide bank details so he could fix my problem I declined and told him that I believed I was being scammed.

Just had a similar pop-up when closing my browser :- "Firefox browser has just detected a new virus ..........Trojan(trj.delware.stealth) ...... phone this number now ...."
I phoned the number and spoke to a very polite indian gentleman who of course had the answer. I declined his offer of assistance. Clearly a scam. (I am sure he has relatives who phone me regularly telling me that they are from Microsoft Support and that they have detected an error in my system.)

Must be Scam! I'm not with Chrome but like you all they said I had been infected and ring a 1800 number so it can be removed. Not that silly lol! Have reported to ScamWatch

One of my silly clients called this number after their computer got an infection. The infection put a message on the screen telling the user to call this number to have their problem "fixed" . Of course it's a scam
