Caller: Australian Receivables Ltd

These calls are from Australian Receivables Ltd. They are a debt collection agency for Centrelink. If you have an unpaid debt then they'll call you. DO NOT give them any of your details. They have no legal rights to contact you and demand your details. I had paid my small debt prior to them contacting me and they were still demanding I provide all my personal details. I referred them back to Human Services to check the details of the debt. Check your MyGov account for any debts you may have, don't deal with these people.

ARL urgent matter? wtf is this?

Caller: ARL -COLLECTORS FOR CENTRELINK DEBT

I called and checked with Centrelink/Dept of Human Services and they did confirm that they do indeed get ARL to recover their outstanding debts. I suggest if they call you only say you'll directly contact DHS personally to find out, if you don't and do indeed have a debt I suggest making a payment or they now take your tax returns direct from ATO.

I got two text messages (one today, one last week) from a mobile phone number 0408 459 220:
"ARL; We tried calling you but could not get through. Please call 1300 789 213 OR reply CALLME and we will be back today. Quote Ref DNxxxxxxxx."

Thought it was bullsh*t and I sure didn't reply but because I've been sending out a lot of job applications I needed to make sure.

Anyone else experienced these approaches after using job platforms?

Same thing to call 1300 789 213 regarding Urgent matter. Never had Centrelink before so all but SCAM!!!

I received this text and unfortunately handed out personal information today. So I'm feeling a bit ill about it all. Even though I don't believe I have a debt I've recently been speaking to various Departments so thought it was related to that. However based on the above feedback my first phone call will be my accountant followed by my family solicitor.

Had same today, didnt bother calling the number as the phone number doesnt match the actual phone number of ARL as publicly listed

Text message-- same as another post... did a Google search ARL receivables search and under Google reviews of the so called business... People have said its a scam to get your info...

This number is real. I called them and they are debt collectors for centrelink. Suggest you go to the centrelink website and check "money you owe". I was surprised to find I owed centrelink $100.

Message to call ARL. I don't know or have any dealings with ARL. I'm treating it as another scam.

Text message received same as above. I have no outstanding debts at all with any company. Tried calling them and the number rang out. If contacted again I will not be providing personal info and will be reporting to scam watch.

Received a missed call from arl the recorded message saying that pls. Call arl for important matter about my name the number is 1300 789 213. The last time they call I accidentally answered they are asking for my information I told them why do I give my information the lady said to address me properly then I told her you should know my details as you are the one called me up just tell me the information what you have then I will confirmed if that’s me and she said it’s confidential so I told her I won’t give you my information then I ask her anyways what arl stands for she said that doesn’t stands for anything then I told her if I will call human services they will ask me what arl stands for and she said they should know it then I told her I already called them up I told her that you keep on calling me and they said you should ask what arl stands for and what they want. Then she keeps on insisting to give my information to her then I told her I won’t give you my information then I ask her okay just give me your contact number and I’ll get back to you and she answered it’s confidential she can’t give their number so I told her don’t bother calling me again as you’re not giving me information on who I am dealing for and hung up but until now they keep on calling me and using unregistered number so that I can’t block them what do I do with this people it’s piecing me so badly😡
