1300 300 038 is a SCAM number it’s not HSBC. They sent an email, than was scam phone call now a scam mail with Australia post envelope. It is the same as (02) 8661 1904. How this scammers obtain Australian numbers in

Called after they said my home loan is overdue, actually started off with what sounded like a legitimate call then it turned when they asked a few odd ball questions. This number is 100% a scam as I called HSBC which their number is on their website and they confirmed it was not their number.

Was sent a letter in the mail from "HSBC" claiming we owed money. Letter looked very legit, but we still thought it might be a scam. Letter had the same contact number as the other complaints, which is different to the real HSBC phone number. Fortunately I checked the website to confirm which phone number was real.

Got a text message and phone call saying my mortgage was overdue, thank god I checked her first before responding.

Their still doing it! Both my wife and I received calls and emails from (02) 8661 1904 (Parramatta NSW number) . Same as listed above. You would think our Telcos would have shut this rubbish down by now!

Didn’t answer phone as it was a 2 ring call and didn’t pick up in time but subsequently recieved email from rbwm.mortgages.auh @ hsbc.com.au saying they had tried to contact me.
Checked out the phone details as email seems from real hsbc address and saw this scam warning when I search the number.
Amazed they have my phone number and email and know
