Same as above ... they said windows . i asked if your so good tell me which version of windows am i using ........we are only providers was the reply...... dodgy as hell..... keep ring here 6 or 7 times a week.....

Had multiple calls yesterday on the same lines as other commenters. Number now blocked

Just got a call from this number, same as what had been previously posted. Heavy Indian accent, whole story sounded suspicious and seedy as hell. Told them to send a technician to speak to me face-to-face if it was so important to "fix my internet from being accessed by unknown users".

Told him that for the biggest telecommunications company in Australia, they had AWFUL call quality. Loud background and a ton of buzzing.

Absolutely a scam!

Same as all the above today. They refused to send an email detailing the problem and wanted me to run some command on the PC. I hung up at that point

Had this call today same mo as other callers have had scam said they were from bt

I thought the number seemed suspicious, lots of background noise, obviously a call centre, but nobody spoke, so I blew the trusty whistle. I am so over this.

Just had a call from this number who was claiming to be from Telstra, and they were having repeated errors coming up on my internet. Just told them I don't think so and hung up! He had a very strong accent and obviously in a call centre from all the background noise.

I had the same today. They called back and left a message. Very strong accent, lots of background noise, kept repeating "The hackers are getting your internet."

Sounded suspiciously like a dodgy call purporting to be from Telstra telling me my computer is downloading malware and corrupting their server. They told me I had to go immediately to my computer to fix the problem. It did not seem legitimate so fobbed them off to call me later. I called the number back but could not be connected
