Caller: Supposed to be a technician from Norton

I have a feeling this was a scam. I was trying to download Norton 360 got an error message then a chat screen asking the problem, while I was trying to tell the story I got a message saying a rep would call me. they did as a I was typing. They sent me a link for Anydesk to check my computer, long story short they couldn't make it work as it is a Mac but told me that I needed a higher grade of Norton as a virus got into my new computer from my Wifi - sounds a bit dodgy so I stopped the call
