Obvious scam. "This is Telstra calling to advise that you a problem with your computer". How do the fraudsters get to use legitimate phone numbers?

Called me today and said my computer was being hacked...definitely scammers ...beware !!!

We get about 8 calls from this number on our business line only for them to hang up

Obvious scam. "This is Telstra calling to advise that you a problem with your computer". I said This does not sound like Telstra. She persisted... started talking about hackers... I said Hmmm very interesting... she got the message and hung up

Lady from Telstra rang to tell me my "internet is being used for illegal purposes. Please log into your computer and tell me your IP address, and I will fix the problem for you ". Yeah, right!! I am not with Telstra anyway. Like "Annoyed" she was a very rude Indian sounding lady.

We got it too. Someone apparently hacking our account so they need remote access. I called telstra from another phone and they said def a scam and to hang up.
