they say its Telstra calling to tell me im being scammed........

Caller: Probably another scammer

Second day in a row I’ve had random old landlines ring me from residential areas of my city where I don’t know people. This is starting to get on my goat.
I’m at the stage where I just may never answer another call that looks like it’s from a landline number unless it’s my mother!!!!! I am assuming this was another scam call I like Yesterday’s was.
If Telco’s would just stop selling blocks of old numbers to corporations. Or if they had some sort of IP block that meant calls originating from computers outside Australia couldn’t use a local number????
Short of buying an air horn from a boating store to blast down the line until every scammer is deaf, surely there’s something that can be done to stop this pestilence???
