Caller: Do not call Australia Registry

This a fraudulent Filipino caller claiming your phone has been hacked and they need to get your permission to block these calls. Then they try to establish who you are and ask your personal details including your bank details. I then tried to speak to someone who spoke English because their accent was terrible. Then they said they were ringing from Sydney Australia but I said that the area code on the LCD phone was an 08 code and Sydney was 02. Then they hung up from being exposed. Be very careful because they are very good.

Caller: Says from Do Not Call Registry (they are not)

I emailed the Do Not Call Registry, this was their reply, "The Register does not solicit numbers, or otherwise contact consumers unless it is required to do so to clarify registration information or the details of a complaint or an inquiry."

Caller: Said from Do Not Call Register (I don't believe it)

Don't know what the scam is but said that my do not call registry had expired or was about to expire, and proceeded to ask me if my address was such and such, I told him I would take care of it online. He became a bit testy, that was the end of that for me. I checked on line and my numbers are registered.

They ring through and don't say anything then hang up.
