Rang, went to voicemail and hung up. Blocked number now.

🚨 MAJOR SCAM ALERT 🚨

After numerous calls to my phone, I answered to this number saying they are from Telstra after financial details for unpaid accounts (we don't use Telstra). So told me a massive virus from Telstra has affected thousands of random email customers from all main Providers, that a one off payment to them will fix this issue. DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME ANSWERING.

We have (and pay for) a private number. Nuisance calls several times a week for months on many numbers including above. Claim to be Telstra Technical Support. Requests to cease calling ignored by these pests!

Definately scammers, they told me if I didn't do what they said, Telstra would disconnect my service for 55 days, funny but my internet is still working. What I did was waste their time by pretending I was interested in what they were saying, then I decided after 5 minutes or so to tell them they're talkin sh*t!.

SCAM - BEWARE

Absolute scammers who ended up admitting to me "we really should hide our caller ID if we are going to lie about where we are from".

These people have rung me 3 times today saying they are from Telstra Technical Support and that my account is not secure and people are illegally using my account and to get onto my computer and they will fix it. I hung up and rang Telstra immediately and they have no knowledge of a phone call.....These people are scammers and hang up straight away!!!

scam - telstra tech, not even with telstra in any form, once we get use to a number they just change it - its called spoofing, look it up

They say they're from Telstra technical support and they have 'detected' a virus on your computer. They are not from Telstra, I asked Telstra and they have no idea who they are. I've found that anyone calling and saying they have detected a problem or virus on your computer are in fact scam artists, and should be simply told to piss off.
