Had a call from this fellow along the same lines as above. I wished to confirm his authenticity so requested his number for me to return call. Number he gave (08) 8121 5888. Called the number...call could not be connected...his name was Jerry..

Just received a call from these people, Asking if I had been in a car accident, I had but it was a few years back and it had been settled. Couldnt tell me what type of car etc, I felt it was a scam so told them to call back as it was a bad line so I could enter the number here ..... mmmmm they still haven't called back.

just got a call from these scammers, wish the feds could find them.

This bloke said he was from the accident hotline and wanted to talk to someone who was involved in an accident in the past two years.

He could not tell me the name of the person he wanted to talk with, told me it was a Mitsubishi Magna that had been involved in an accident.

When I put pressure on him his story fell apart (was not on his script)

Had 2 calls from them today. One from harry and he got quite irrate after I was questioning him and his call, and one just now from a woman. Same as everyone else on here. Scam. Thanks facebook it was on your site! Not happy.

Just had a call from these wankers. When told they were just scammers they threatened to blow up the house.

keep getting phonecalls from this number but no one is ever there...i get a digital voice saying...GOODBYE...i WANT someone to be there so I can lead them on...damn

Here we go again one answered call today. One no one there call just now.They must be rather stupid trying the same line when they hae been told there has been no accident the first time.

Got multiple 'no voice' calls from this number today. When I rang them back and asked why, they abused me and hung up in my ear.

Same thing claiming to be an accident investigator. Son had been involved in an accident but everything had been settled. Informed me he was trying to claim money, on the other persons behalf, so told him the only way we would deal with him was if he put it in writing.

Definitely a scam. Got a call yesterday from this number, which I missed. When I checked my missed calls (home phone), I tried to call them back with no answer as I thought it may have been a call I was expecting. I then came on here and checked the number, only to find out it was a scammer.

About 30 mins later, I got another call which I answered. The line was very bad, and there was a long pause before I was connected to anyone. A gentleman came on the line, saying his name was "Jason" (had a definite accent - possibly from the Phillipines?) and that was from some accident and injury helpline and they were calling in regard to an accident that "had occurred". I told him I know that he is a scammer and that he should stop calling me. To which he replied, somewhat incoherently, "Is it written over there that I am scam?". I then explained that I had Googled the number and came across a page that detailed the fact he was a scammer. I then told him that he should not contact me again and hung up.

Will be interested to see if I get another call from these pricks.

long long bout of ringing today, wouldn't give up, ignored it. wish they'd leave us alone

Missed call on my unlisted home number. No msg so instantly sceptical. Called it back from hidden mobile number. Wouldn't give abn or any details that I could independently verify. Kept saying "so you were in an accident yes?"...and then I thought ok I'll mess with this scammer...kept calling him back, and first time I said "yes I had a terrible accident only this morning...gee you are wonderfully quick, thank you so much. Asked him for his bank account details so I could pay an excess (even before he mentioned it) purely so I can pass on info to ACCC Scam Watch. Told him I was sitting in hospital from a gunshot wound to the leg by ISIS and he hung up. Next call I made I said I was bitten by a shark and could he find my lost arm? Nxt time I rang and said "I'm just ringing to inform you your mother's been killed in a horrible car accident" & he got a bit upset lol...I'm more than happy to tie up his phone line all day with my unlimited credit.

Really dodgy 'helpline'.
They rang my business number asking for an unknown business name and I said sorry wrong number, then they asked who I they called, so I replied with my business name. Moments later I had an email from them addressed personally to me, with a dodgy zipped file as an attachment...they must of looked up my business name on my website to gain all my details after I told them my business name.

im calling the little Asian farker back from a private number over and over again. he answers once, now he cant make calls as im calling him on auto redial all afternoon

A male Asian voice (possibly Vietnamese accent) called me today, said he was calling about an accident I had (which I have not). He said they were accident and injury helpline. I said I don't know know what you're talking about and asked him for more details like their company address and ABN and he hung up.

Definitely dodgy and as I'm registered on the Do not call register, not an Australian company I assume.
