Red Cross Blood Service for me too.
Although they left a very polite message and an appropriate return contact number.

I had 3 missed calls about 1 minute apart .... no message left, when I called back all I got was a voice message saying they would be with me as soon as possible. Wella fter waiting 5 minutes i gave up.

thanks for the messages re Red Cross, makes sense. Would be much better if they left a short message instead of nothing, I can't always answer my phone. I too find they are a bit forceful about donations and calling, it is off-putting

If it is the Red Cross. they're probably calling me because I haven't donated for a while. Last time I went to donate they were running late. Sorry Red Cross… I'm self employed and my time is too valuable to be sitting in your waiting rooms twiddling my thumbs. I think I'm going to get a tattoo now ;)

Red Cross Blood Service. They would do better to leave a short msg. By the time I got in from the back yard, the mobile had stopped ringing, within 5 seconds the landline rang. Don't mind them calling but I would rather know it was them on the mob as well, saving me time to chase down the number.

I'm really over the Red Cross calling me. I know its a good cause but i will make the time to make a donation when it suits me. I work during the week and am often busy on weekends. I try to donate 2-3 times a year but i find i'm just being pestered now.

This makes sense, I donated blood on the 17th... I rang them back and it said the number couldn't be connected. I really hope this doesn't persist, because I'm already booked in for another donation in three months.

The phone rang. I picked it up and said "Hello." No response from the other end and it hung up. Was wondering whether they'd call me to remind me, and thanks to this service I now know who it was. Thanks!

Makes sense that it would be the Red Cross as I donated blood about 3 months ago. I agree they should leave a message as I don't pick up unknown numbers generally either.

Was pretty sure it was the Red Cross.....glad to know for sure now. I've saved the contact in my phone so I can either ignore them if I don't know when I can make an appointment or I can talk to them if I know. I find they are forceful about it. The call centre must get a certain amount of $$ for each booking they make.
