Caller: Scammer pretended they were Apple

Scammer number shows Adelaide number but it diverted to a mobile when I called it. Scammer do not give details as asked for credit card including cvc. I new it wasn’t Apple when he asked for details as they don’t ask for Credit Card details

Scammer! Targeting people by creating Google Ads and targeting big companies such as Coles and Australia Post so their ad shows at the top of Google search results. They place their own phone number on the Ad so people will call them. They will ask for your bank details to refund as they pose as customer service, but instead will charge you from an overseas bank account. Vista dimensions is a fake business front, the man behind this is overseas.

Caller: "Coles Customer Service"

I found this same number online when I googled "Coles Customer Service" I was trying to get a refund for items that never arrived, they said they would refund the money straight away but needed to confirm my credit card details which I gave them not realizing they weren't Coles Customer Service.
They tried to get $4350 from my card, fortunately the bank blocked it as suspicious transaction and I also didn't have that amount in my bank.
Thankfully my credit card is actually a debit visa with almost $0 balance as I only transfer money into it as needed.
I also learned a lesson, not to google a phone number and call the first number returned (which was from a google ad)

Caller: I googled Aldi phone number

In my haste I googled Aldi Phone number and the above number was listed as an Aldi contact for mobile prepaid service.
I called the number as I had to recharge my wifes phone in my haste I was asked qu.estions then asked to give my credit card details which I did but not without asking firstly was this the standard procedure. After being reassured I was sent a OTP and asked to give the pin over the phone. I hesitated as I knew this highly irregular but because of the urgency I complied.
As soon as I did I was hit with a $1380 charge from South Africa. These Scammers have no conscience I new then I had been had and I told the person over the phone what I thought of him. He just brazenly ignored my pleas and said he going to request another OTP which would fix up my account. I just told him he was a scammer and got as many details as I could out of him which he no trouble giving but of coarse the information was all rubbish and part of the scam to make you feel all is good.
I am now trying to get back my $1380 which was scammed off me and in all my liferI thought this type of thing could not happen to me.
I was led into a false sense of security because the number was listed on google search engine under Aldi phone number 24 hour service.
I have learnt a valuable lesson and that is never give your credit card details over the phone unless you are 100% sure you have called the correct number and never give out a One Time Pin number over the phone as this give the other party authority to take money out of your card.
I feel like an idiot but feel I need to share this so that it may save someone else from getting ripped off by these low life's who don't care what harm they cause or stress they cause as long as they get your money.
