Yes, it is Simply Energy. Yes, they called my mobile. Yes, I AM a Simply Energy customer. So far, OK... they said they had an extra good deal for me... yay! I always like good deals.... Then they said, in order to access the information they already had about me, they needed me to provide them with all sorts of information... hmmmm, this is starting to sound fishy.... they asked me for my full name... OK, I gave them that...then they wanted "only" the first line of my address.... OK, I gave them that... then they asked me for my postcode... I said don't you already have that? They said they did, but just needed to confirm. They said we only need your postcode and that is it, so OK, I gave them that.... THEN they asked for my date of birth!!! I said what the hell do you need my date of birth for???? that has nothing to do with my energy supply. They said they needed it to validate I was the account holder. I told them I would never have given them that information previously, so they wouldn't be able to check it against their records anyway... They said, oh yes, we have you date of birth on record and just need you to verify it for us.... I said, forget it and hung up.... Sound like phishing to me...
The trouble is, it probably is Simply Energy and they probably do have a deal that is better than my current one, but why couldn't they just ask for me account number???

This number has been calling my direct line at WORK every day for three weeks.. seriously, get the message and F*** OFF.

10 days ago Simply Energy agreed to put me on their "do not call" register (you can do it on line). Bliss! - until today , 2 calls sofar!

After 6 missed calls in 3 days discover it purports to be Simply Energy. That's enough incentive to never ever use that company

These a**holes have been calling me daily for a week now. 100% a scam.

simply energy. ringing me 8 to 9 times a day and I'm on the do not call register. I had a no phone day and turned my phone off the other day because of it!

I answered once and told them I wasn't interested, argued with me then they hung up. Continued to call every day for about 3 weeks then I blocked the number. Only calls from this main line, no other extensions.
