well its now april 2015 and they are still operating

i had the same - when you answer they hang up..and when you call back it just goes to a message bank mailbox.

Flogging Virgin Money this time. Phone rings and as you answer they hang up/ 24 7 is the caller

I get about 3-4 calls a day from this number and sometimes they just hang up and other times they swear or want to have a conversation, I just thought it was a wrong number up until now.. :/

Ive always recieved call from dis # (08) 6555 6952 everytime i answer it they hang up.

Just reported to federal police as formal complaint i have police in my family!

Once again, 247 Distribution are not making these calls or in any way related to these calls. Internally we do have call centre people, however they are not related to outbound marketing, they are helpdesk IT people. In addition to this they only operate between 930 and 430, Monday to Friday and not outside these hours.
Finally if you are still receiving these calls, I am happy to receive polite comments from people that are affected by this, as if it is the same company that is making the calls in August and September 24x7direct and we are again being confused with this, I will post the Mobile number of My Abraham's the companies director who assured me that this practice would be stopped and the name of the business making the calls would be more clearly articulated.
Please understand that our receptionists are as frustrated by this practice as you, if you feel the need to still call us, can you please not be impolite to them, as they, like our company are not involved in anyway with this practice.

I am receiving calls from (08) 6555 6592 and (08) 6365 4320....this site helped me at first stage and see if they will take off my number. As mentioned in above discussion I have spoken to 1300 123 247 sa*es @ 247distribution.com.au but not much help. The other contact above was Director, Devang P whose mobile number is: 0401 270 747 was good and responsive. He assured me for the action in a day or so as spoken today...and hope he will!

(08) 6555 6592 and (08) 6365 4320 are telemarketers and use various numbers in multiple attempts to contact me. over it. their facebook pages is https://www.facebook.com/pages/24x7direct/113163188748763?v=app_4949752878 so perhaps spam them back??? their web page http://www.24x7direct.com.au/ conveniently does not have a contact page but for business enquiries you could email dominic @ 24x7direct.com.au . i'm sure he wouldn't mind a few spam emails.

Heather, this does not help. They simply call you from another number of their vast array of numbers. Being on the DO NOT DISTURB register also does not help as many of these calls originate overseas. Ever since the DND register came into being, the telemarketers have moved overseas and route their calls through purchased phone numbers in Australia. So they take no notice of you.

I am now seriously looking at disconnecting my phone, not getting another one for a while and when I do no bank, insurance company or anyone else except family and friends will have the number. Everyone else can either email or mail me. It is your banks, insurance companies, telephone and internet provides and any other big business you deal with who are giving these people your number. They simply buy a database.

Yep, this 247 Distribution company ARE responsible for the harassment. I've received these 'hang up' calls every other week. Call them back and tell them to remove your number from their 'auto-dial register'. Hope this helps.

I have a friend who is a police prosecutor. If you tell them not to ring and they keep doing it, they can be charged for harassment. I tell them that I know this and that I will have them charged. Then they stop.

Got this phone number further down the comment list (thanks to the person who posted it): The Director, Devang P mobile number is: 0401 270 747. He might appreciate a few calls at times that suit his 'customers'. He has promised me he will take me off the list. I said it sucked that if they did not get you one number they used others and he denied that. I said I could prove it as every number was linked to them but he just pleaded dumb! So will be interesting to see if I get any more calls or if I am going to have to keep ringing him daily! Suggest everyone rings him!

Thing is if you want a diamond you'd go get it! Aussie's are smart! so telemarketers out there... we all know that you never answer the doors, unless you are expecting someone or call out before you answer it! and don't pick up unknown numbers. Its just the few who forget this that answer, but we will all get it right some time and you guy's want have a chance to sell us crap, my suggestion make a good name for yourself and advertise on TV or in newspapers like normal people would. Telemarketing is pointless and making us Aussies seriously angry! next were gonna bag your company and you'll lose... I refuse to answer the phone... STOP CALLING ME!

I have been constantly harassed by this company 2 to 3 times a day on my mobile and home phone. They call on multiple phone numbers and now are becoming abusive on phone, I answer and say hello they tell me to fuc. off then hang up. I for one have contacted a lawyer and are certainly taking this further.

I now have so many blocked numbers from these idiots. You would think if I don't pick up and you don't leave a message, I would call you back or take your calls. Not!

They have to be really a inconsiderate bunch of idiots or just motivated by extreme stupidity or they enjoy being constantly insulted. The firm that hires them must also be in the same category. If they are being paid for performance they are obviously getting none as I hang or don't answer (when I do answer and get a response - they definitely get soundly abused). Maybe the idiots are being paid for phone calls made in which case the "hirer" is the absolute idiot. But in the meantime I am getting more than fed up with the incessant "stupid" calls.
