***SCAM ALERT***

The lady on the phone says she is calling from Telstra NBN just to get feedback on the technician who installed the NBN cables. She asks what date it was installed and we said that she should have that on record. When you ask her details, she says she is from Brisbane, provides a Telstra employee ID number etc, and also provides an amount from your last Telstra bill. When you call the number back, it goes to an answering service which says it is the Telstra NBN team. HOWEVER...

We called Telstra directly (using the 13 22 00 number), and we were told that this would not be Telstra, because Telstra will only notify customers about NBN matters via email or post ONLY. We were advised this was an overseas scammer using an Australian appearing phone number.

They are legitimate reseller but still annoying. You must contact Telstra on 13 22 00 to be removed from their calling lists

Telstra was a con company, it is a con company and will be a con company for the years that will come. Criminals, thieves, liars, incompetent idiots. No wonder why all the Asian companies are putting these morons on the bottom of the food chain. Stop robbing people! Stop lying! Brainless Maggots!!!!

Caller: Probale scam trying to get my voice recorded with my name

Unfortunately I answered this as I lived in a state that has an 08 prefix and thought it might be about a service that needs to be updated. I answered Hello this is [my name] and then it hung up. Now I'm pretty sure it's a spoof scam that is harvesting people's IDs and voice records for use with potential other online or phone services as I know that my mobile number is associated with now 5 major data hacks that have been reported on ': have I been pwnd? - the most recent was yesterday due to Evite data breach. My advice. don't answer with your voice and don't let it go to voice mail so they don't get to record your voice.

Caller: The said "Telstra NBN"

Scam call trying to get me to book in a NBN conversion appointment. Told the girl that as my area was only just declared, I had 18 months to convert and that I was going with another carrier after being pillaged by Telstra for many years. Still tried to book in an appointment until I told her to be gone (in a reasonably nice way). Check your NBN options - Telstra is far from the best value and technology.

They called my mobile and hung up after I answered. Then called my landline 20 minutes later, again hanging up after I answered. Pointless!

Caller: Claimed to be Telstra

Called re: NBN swap over in my area, when I asked which area, he said he can't provide me with the address specifics but assured me it's about my residential swap over. Wanted me to verify my date of birth and address of which I refused and he said he can give me my last invoice amount and his Telstra employee ID. Didn't give him more of my time.

Totally fed up with these repetitive calls that go on and on and on. I do not answer unsolicited calls and only reply if a message is left from someone I know It is a total invasion. Why do we have to put up with it?

No message left when I don't answer their call. Suspect it's a scam call. I don't recognise their number.
