This number has just called, I did not know the number so did not answer & the caller did not leave a message. Definitely blocking the number now I know it is telemarketing.

Had ben getting numerous calls from (08) 6228 4010 (some Ms Marion Telstra ID 796248 and others). Called today Telstra's Unwelcomed Calls on 1800 805 996 (some Ms Tio) and after waiting about 4-5 minutes for her to block this third party marketeer she assured me that Telstra has "blocked this number and all other Telstra marketing numbers and you won't be receiving any more calls of this nature". I am sure that the marketing company is one of many third party marketeers Telstra is using to promote its deals/packages - simply, Telstra can block somebody who is one of their own marketing arms (if Telstra blocks other marketeers not associated with Telstra they will be breaching many a law of this great country of ours and suffer nasty consequences for doing that). I hope I won't be receiving any further calls from this or any other of Telstra's third party marketeers.

Calls leaves no message

If Telstra wants to provide information regarding to the promotion or service, why not post a letter? If the other special promotion is on the telstra website, why not add that into the web too? Why have to call? So annoying! I can only think it is a scam. Big company would give u a call and leave a message if not answer. Why so many calls? i am so over it...

And yes, Luke - they NEVER leave a message.
It's easy enough to block, call them, dial 1, then 5 (to block ALL, ie phone calls, emails, snail mail, door to door, etc).
Then you have togive them more info if you choose all, so you may just wish to dial 1 then 1 again and hangup ;)

Called my daughters mobile and wanted to speak to me, said we are on the same Telstra network.
I don't have anything with Telstra.

Still calls despite being on the Do Not Call Register.

This number has called me every day over the past week and even called 3 times during the day today. I never answer because I can't be bothered speaking to such rude people.
You would think they'd stop calling after I didn't answer the first few times.

They rang the other day, so I just ignored it, looked it up on here and suspected as such. They rang again just before, I answered with a very suspicious sounding "Hello?" 3 times, before I heard someone about to say something, then they suddenly hung up.......got them this time I think!!

I was recently called by this number. The caller claimed to be from Telstra and wanted by DOB.

I now ask for the caller's ABN (Australian Business Number). They always hang up.

Receiving daily calls from this number, caller has previously claimed to represent Telstra. We are on the Do Not Call register and marked as no marketing with Telstra. Lodged formal complaint with Telstra, they state the caller is a fraud and looking to churn numbers to other carriers. If you're on the DNC register and get called by this number lodge a complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov.au/consumers/lodge-a-complaint/ the corporate fine is HUGE.

"Hi this is Taylor fro Telstra Brisbane" then the line went dead. I won't be receiving calls from this number again.
