Last week I Had a meeting at The Council Chambers in Childers to advise them of a public safety concern. To No Avail.
I advised them of asbestos concerns in an shop being run by a Justice of the Peace who also claims to be a qualified nurse while on Disability Support in view of the local Social Security Office while not declaring any of his working or takings.The ceiling is broken the roof is fear of coming off, the ceiling in the back is about to collapse and there is so much white ant damage i don't know how the building has not been condemned. This person also known as Sarge Wiegand collected three loads of Furniture which included wardrobes from my home, carried them down a set of steps from the first floor with no trouble then or after.He has no Public liability insurance even though he sells unchecked electrical equipment.Runs a Facebook trading site The Shed Childers. This is not the first asbestos concern I've raised around the 15 Feb 2012 I contacted Testra to advise them that Children were playing in and fall down a asbestos culvert (see Photo)on the main path to the primary school they were out with in 2 day erected a barrier around it and have not been back since. Thirdly I have had a number of people complain about landscaping work in McIlweath St, little do they know of another asbestos concern regarding the building that has been relocated there (See photo)I know and am distantly related to the house removalist and was aware that he did not have a asbestos removal Licence but used a friends Licence (Anthony Mianio)from his Church and payed kick backs for the use of it and it was indicated to me that he didn't have a removal Licence also but did the same with another person (Michael Priest). I have watched Unprotected tradesmen all over that site over the last few weeks and today Hundreds walking past all 3 sites The Removal Company Lammie Bros licence status may have changed in recent years I can't say as I have not had anything to do with them for quite a while. Your station would have camera crews there today for the Childers festival,could you please for Public Safety reasons make some inquiries as I've had little sleep over this issue for some time ...Regards Robert Lee
