Hung up as soon as i picked up. According to the above it is possibly Sun Corp/AAMI calling. Could the people posting comments about these annoying calls that we continually receive, remember we like to be thought as welcoming and tolerant people who live in Australia?
Why is it necessary to label these people with nasty names etc? They are possibly working in a call centre to earn money to feed their children. However I too will be enormously glad if and when a stop can be made to these most annoying calls.

It's a call centre who work for Suncorp and AAMI. They called me because my insurance payment didn't go through. Worth answering to make sure its not something important about your policy.

Female with "sub-continent accent." Said they were from AAMI and knew my name. I have insurance with AAMI, so it could have been genuine, but when I asked what they wanted she hung up.
If AAMI really wants me than they'll call back. Trouble is there are so many nuisance calls that it's hard to differentiate between what is genuine and what is not.
Any number with an out of state prefix I do not answer unless I am expecting an out of state call and know the number. all ok,just wanting to let me no my account needed paying, but the least they could have done is to leave a message and maybe I would of got back to them sooner Caller: Shannons Car Insurance

When answered, call centre said they were from Suncorp, but when I contacted Suncorp there was no one trying to reach me.

Rude bush pig with an Indian accept said he was from Suncorp group and wanted me to confirm my details. The scamming Indian pig then hung up on me. Upon calling the no back there is a recording they are part of the Suncorp team but no option to speak to anyone except they’ll be in touch again. I’ve reported them to AAMI for the relevant area to probe them and also placed a call to the Federal Police. They are criminals be ware.

supposedly from Suncorp Merchants Department wanting to know what my details were. She rang me shouldnt she already know lol. Anyway said she wanted my details and email address so that they could change our statements from post to email. Um already get my statements via email. She said if I wanted to change my details to call 131155. So I did ring the number its suncorp insurance nothing to do with Suncorp Merchants
left a minute blank voice mail. called back on the number as Suncorp network. Possible scammers piggybacking of their number. Claimed to be from Suncrop. She knew my full name. Dodgy as f##k with that Asian accent. Doesn't even sound professional. Too bad if Suncorp actually hire people with Asian accent. They can email me. Actually don't email either.
