Another con job, claiming they are from Telstra. What a joke. Telstra doesn't return calls and follow up complaints, so for someone to say they are calling from Telstra just has to be a con. They were using (07) 4861 0548 until I blocked it last night at 8.30, and today, 6.53pm, on Good Friday, with this new number. Also, if you phone back, the number is not connected.

The usual takes awhile for call to connect once answered, then really noisy back ground and someone with thick Indian accent reading a script - Yes hello Maam I'm calling you from Telstra Technical department - blub then telling you that they have received messages from my computer and my internet will be cut off. They then ask do you know why it will be cut off - I always respond because you said it would lmao. They then often hang up then, if they continue I make them wait 10 mins telling them I need to turn the pc on. Then tell them a few choice words.

These criminals should be investigated by the police.

Yes I receive these calls every 2 weeks and today I decided to write the number down. The man advised me that he was calling from Telstra Corporation and that my internet was going to be disconnected and did I want to know why? When I advised that I was writing down his phone number and going to call Telstra with it he hung up on me.

I got the call today from this number. The girl asked me to provide her access to my computer via Teamviewer (through the internet). When I refused, she threatened me similar to what I have seen in the movies. I am very convinced that these guys are terrorist and they will do anything to fund their activities. Do not take the call or speak. The moment they say that they are from Telstra Technical Department in the strong accent, just hang hup.
I am going to complain to Australian Federal Police for them to take care of these gang
