I was a regular buyer of tickets. They'd call me up every so often even sometimes twice in a week asking me if I want tickets WHEN I already have tickets. I told them this last time and even told them to stop emails and mail outs. The mail outs continues and I received another phone call the very next day. I'm unsure whether all money goes to a charitable cause now after how desperate they are to try and milk me so now instead I donate regularly to charity.

To deter these annoying repeated pests with their gratuitous beggars for the deafness charities, like Police in former times used to recommend for handling such nuisance calls, briefly blow a postman's whistle in the earpiece so they too might experience a sense of deafness! After all, they have no regard for the Privacy rights of consumers under the Privacy Act(Cwealth).

What makes people mad is when you answer and there is silence then disconnect. Say something or don't call. It's simple.

I have no problem supporting a Charity, but the majority of the money raised goes to 'administration fees'. The shopping centre sellers get a cut of each ticket they sell, as do the telemarketing teams. If I want to donate, I will support a charity with volunteers selling tickets.

They may be deaf but they can talk can't they. To call someone then not speak is the ultimate rudeness

You do realize that's it's a million times more expensive to visit you in person in order to solicit funds, than to do so over the phone. They are a charity, why would they incur that kind of face to face cost?

I also created a name for this caller : "Do Not Answer DL" so I know who it is for next time, and ignore the call.
Sad they do this, because it must put people off from supporting them.
And no, it was not me that won that nice looking car - it was a Ford Mustang at Pacific Fair shopping centre :)
