Nobody on the other end when you answer then the call hangs up

Rang & no message left. Same as many other complaints. And I'm on the Do Not Disturb register - fat lot of good that does.

I haven't answered their calls lately but, when I have, I reply that they've reached my local police station...Sgt Wilson speaking.

called on land line - I tried the number on my mobile - call failed message appear. No message left on answering machine

The background noise thing is to make you think it's a call centre. it's just a tape of a call centre played back on speaker. Have fun with them!! If from the sub-continent, say you are Yama, Lord of Naraka...they'll crap themselves then hang up. Or my other favourite thing to do is blow a whistle in their ear....that'll stop them calling.

Call took a long time to connect, she (no name given) said she was from Home Manor. Looked that up and could be anything from retirement living to spec. homes, so possibly a telemarketer

when phone is picked up, they hang up without speaking. Suspect nuisance caller. Low life.

Someone just rang my home number from this number. I picked up. There was background noise but no speaking, I'm thinking some sort of call centre. A pause. I said hello. More pause. I said Who Is This? They hung up.

Caller: Energy Solutions

Short silence then foreign accent said they were Energy Solutions. I hung up at that point.

Asked my name, hung up when I asked whose calling

Caller: Said her name was Amy

Rang my mobile, when I answered they hang up. Darn nuisance, number now blocked.

Same here - I have had numerous calls the last couple of days from this number and the connection is appalling!
