I’ve been called several times by this number in as many days.

Did not leave message. I called back and a message "one of Aust leading charities" Had same message from a 08 number. I would have northing to do with them. You decide if "charity" is an apt description.

Rang through from landline and got as far as registering a message, but silence ensued.

Caller: Some animal charity

Picked up this call as I was expecting calls. The "lady" on the phone was called Emily. Sounded like a real person but conversation was not natural. It sounded like she was pre-recorded. Her responds were somewhat tangible and they sort of made sense but there was a few seconds delay between each conversation and she sounded monotonic. When I said I'd be able to donate but not until next week, she said she'd get her supervisor on the phone and put me on hold. Then I hung up.

Caller: Presumed pest

Long ring, no message. Repeat after 8 months.

Now that is as bad as if you’d made a call yourself. You don’t have to respond, but you show yourself up with the comment you posted.

Called today, hung up within a few seconds - robocall obviously. Be aware that a significant number of so called charities use the same call centre in QLD and share response numbers.

NBN know where these things are coming from via their IP address from VOIP. They could shut them down but won't until the government starts issuing heavy fines to NBN and the service retailer. That would help the Covid economic recovery!

Another caller that does not leave a message. If they don’t leave a message they are blocked. Why would I waste my time phoning back.

I answered but no one spoke, obviously a scam

They are wasting their time! I will not pick up. Never make donations over the phone!!

They have called three times in each of the past three days. Goes to answering machine and they hang up.

They are after monthly donations for domestic violence victims affected by the increasing number during covid19. I couldn’t do a monthly one so they asked if I could do a one off. I helped out with a small donation.
