Get back to me or will be arrested

a deep voiced male said he was from the ATO and there was a warrant for my arrest and it was a legal matter - said to call this number back.

I called the ATO - they have verified its a scam... if you have a tax issue, the ATO will send you correspondence by mail - ATO does not call.

I'm worried that i'm going to be arrested. What should i do?

Automated message supposedly from the ATO telling me an arrest warrant would be issued for my arrest if I didn't call them back immediately? Did sound like the guy from Crime Stoppers but total scam.

Why is it that the carriage provider (Telstra / Optus Etc.) are not held accountable for keeping these numbers active and them being used for a criminal act? surly their responsibility is also at question

‘There is a lawsuit under your name, if you do not call back we will get you arrested’. Direct quote. SCAM!!

Seems like a scam.... saying that they are going to sue me unless I call them back, what a hopeless joke from a typically dumb Queensland phone number

Got an automated voice message when answering number. It says immediate call back to this number before an arrest will be issued for tax department legal case. Totally bogus and scam! Do not call back. This should be reported to the police.
