Rings home phone- which I never answer, then immediately rings mobile. At least four calls a day this week. Never leaves a msg, have since blocked. I used to donate but these tactics have turned me off.

They must be using a computer to ring every number and then ring back at that time IF you answer the phone and then get the call ended on you. I just picked up the phone without answering and it still just hangs up, so I expect to ave a call from them in the next week at the time I picked up the phone :( Why the government allowed telemarketers from so called charities to be allowed to ring you even though you are on the so called DON`T CALL REGISTER, I will never know :)

I went to the RSPCA website and emailed them to STOP CALLING. Had a reply that the email would be forwarded on and I can contact them direct on these details. If everyone does it they may get the message... (07) 3426 9999 or admin @ rspcaqld.org.au

Seriously bordering on stalking me! I've now blocked the number. They are actually putting me off making any donations again.

It is not the RSPCA it is a business called Insight CFS who pocket 40 to 60% of your donation.

The purport to represent a charity. But they keep 90% of your donantion for 'expenses' and pass on the crumbs.

Charities are not covered by the do not call register. So they can annoy you.
What annoys me is that they all want to sign you up for life at a minimum donation of $30/m. Then they keep hassling you to donate more. Debt collectors aren't allowed to carry on like this. [I worked for one when at Uni, they can actually try to help people with their debts].

The biggest problem with a lot of these telemarketers is that they're usually based outside Australia which means that the Don't Call Register means nothing to them.
