they wanted me to sign up to their website

It's Insuranceline. They hung up every time I answered. When I saw on here that it's likely about insurance, it occurred to me they're probably looking to catch people who sound older. I called back and got through to someone and she said "we're not trying to sell anything, but hypothetically speaking, what are you more concerned about - life, income or funeral insurance?" I told them I was only 17 (I'm 27) and so this was not something I have thought about. She immediately apologised for calling and ended the conversation. So there you go! Just tell them you're under 18.

I just got a call from this number. Didn't answer as I wasn't sure who its was. They didn't leave a voicemail. Now that I have read the comments above, im glad I didn't answer.

As soon as I answered on my mobile, they hung up!

Started to get scam call like this after signing up with www.comparethemarket.com.au using a new phone number to compare car insurances. DO NOT deal or enter your contact details with the website. you have been warned

Contract Metro Services is what they all themselves.

They claimed to be from "Contact Network Management....." - this is the 5th different number I've blocked from these a**holes now.

They called me but I don't answer calls especially calls from Qld as I think most scammers are based there. Anyhow I can confirm that at some point in the previous year I've entered my number and details on comparethemarket.com site. Seems like these bastards are not only making money from commission on insurance policies they sell, but from on selling phone numbers to marketing firms. Very cheeky!

This week I have received a tonne of spam messages from this number and a few others despite being on the do not call register. It seems to be a large spike in telemarketers just in the last week. I've stopped answering unknown calls as a result.

Caller said they calling from "Connected Network Services", noisy background, Indian or non-Australian accents.
From Redcliffe QLD.
Other similar callers from phone numbers (02) 8104 1014 from Liverpool NSW and from number (03) 8372 4008, which is from West Melbourne but only checker also reported from any where in Australia, also claimed being at the same "company" name.

I just got the call from "Contact Network Management" from this number on my mobile. Only hung up after I told then that SPAM was illegal as teh phone was on teh "don't call" register.
