Caller: It wasn't a call it was a text

I received 2 text messages from different numbers at the same time saying "Sorry ___, I missed sending this out to you" along with a link.

Caller: QLD Statisticians

This number belongs to QLD Government Statists Office who behave, well like QLD Government does, that is unprofessional, dodgy and incompetent. My partner got a letter stating that he will be contacted by one of them to conduct research in regards to attitudes towards relationships in QLD. They kept calling him over days including weekends but he was working. Eventually he picked up, they were not intrested in speaking to him at all, they questioned him about me and requested that they want to speak to me (I did not receive any letters like he did). Eventually they called again when he was home and he passed the phone to me, I questioned what this research is about but the woman was pushy, passive aggressive and made an assumption that becouse she is so important to work for QLD Government I will just jump in joy to participate, she did not ask me if I am ok with it, did not provide any infornation about how the data will be used, she wanted to know where I live and asked other personal questions. She was also very manipulative when I raised my concerns about this whole thing. I literally had to rise my voice to get her off the phone with me and made her understand that we do not welcome any more calls from them and consider it to be a harrasment. QLD Government is way over their heads if they think that people trust or respect them. Dodgy, overconfident filth. You want yo know about attitudes towards relationships in QLD??? How about you move your fat bureaucratic lazy arses and look at the data you already have - at least one woman is murdered per week by an intimate partner and your police, magistrates and child protection bodies keep doing nothing about it, minimising and shaming the victims the good conservative patririarhal way.

Lauren from the qld government next step survey left a message, but spoke in an accent and very quickly, was very hard to know what was going on

Called me at some ungodly hour when I hung up they called MY MOTHER as asked to speak to me didn’t pronounce my name right and were extremely rude when we said we weren’t interested in their “survey” asking where I worked !!

Have phoned 7 times in 3 weeks. Won’t be answering. They need to give up

Caller: Queensland Government Statisticians Office.

This is a legitimate Queensland State government department. They call between 9:30 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am to 4pm Saturday. They have done so for many years. The Cairns MP below obviously does not know what they are talking about. The surveys help make up government legislation so they should know.

Those working in market research - who, naturally, get most responses outside of business hours when people aren't at work. Not all government workers do 9-5 you know. and for that matter, not every call you get is a scam. Maybe try being a bit more open minded.

Three minutes of my life that I'll never get back - still it was worthwhile. The information provided could benefit others. Be generous with your time. These aren't telemarketers or spam callers.

They have been calling me every couple of days for about two weeks. The message left claims she is from the Qld Govt Stats Office - what public seravnts are are working at 7.30 at night weekdays and 3.30 on a Saturday afternoon?????? Obviously a scam.

Apparently this is some QLD stats office. Why the hell call me, I live in another state a long way away. How on earht did they get my number???????

I received a letter telling me that the stats office was going to call me, to do a survey

Elaborate scammers/id thieves/serial pests pretending to be the government! They even set up a web page to trick people into thinking they are genuine.

I've not been in school for 20 years and I'm not in Queensland, but all they want are personal details they have no right to.

with using Name of Goernment , questioning about private secrecy ex name of my employer, my wage amount, . this is hacking.

Qld government survey, I don't understand why they're still calling me when they already pressured me into doing there survey, blocking now, this call is getting rather annoying.

They called saying they were from the Government and wanted to speak to my son, (like I'm going to let them do that) would of thought it was legit if not for the outside noise, the smirky patronising tone she spoke in and the laughter in the background. Blocked.
