Caller: Lion Finance

Rang looking for a lady who I have listed as a facebook friend. I asked how they got my details, they would not disclose, but they wanted to know if I knew any of her family or how to get hold of her. My phone number is unlisted so how did they get my details??? They did not wish to answer my questions but they did want me to pass on a message to my facebook contact - I have declined and blocked them and if they ring again asking for private information from a person I have a tenuous connection with from facebook I will give the phone to my toddler and let him blow a whistle :)

Answered call to business number and the female caller asked if she'd called a business number in a residential area?
I responded with telling her she'd called a business number at a business address.
She then asked again if we were in a residential area, to which I replied "No. We are in a large commercial zoned area."

Pretty sure she was a telemarketer or scammer.

These people cold call people of the same name trying to find the person they are looking for. Sound like a third rate company trying their hand at debt collection.

It is Lion Finance debt collectors. Just keep dodging them, they can't do sh*t

John (I see they've used this name before, doubt it is his real name) called our agency asking to pass on a message to one of our tenants. Kindly informed them that due to the Privacy Act 1998 we cannot confirm/deny/share any of our tenants/clients details so this call would be no use for him. John then said he would take our phone number off the calling list.

Googled number - says debt collector. I have no debt and made sure I checked my credit report just incase. Probably scammers

John called looking for someone with the same surname as me. He knew my name. When I called back someone else answered and said they cold called anyone they can come up with who has the same or similar surname!!!

They ask for neighbouring people and new my last name. I wonder if they can access private info by keeping you talking. They upset my rest from shifts twice. I only blocked them, but scam if this sort deserve a lifetime curse being other ways practically unavailable. This is a generation with an high % of bastards suitable for concentration camps.

They were apparently looking for my neighbour, so how the heck did they get my number? When I asked them they said they found me on white pages - not true! How do people get this info, what happened to privacy!

Got to be a scam. Don't know who this idiot is.

I called back number (07) 3017 3954 spoke to a woman who said company name is Lion Finance.

can't call the number back... it just hangs up
