Scam caller

Seems like a scam. Wanted personal info, when questioned why they hung up.

Caller: I don’t know

Did not leave message,, accent voice, always, but always let go to the keeper!

As soon as I said hello they hung up

Caller: Indian guy - said his name was Mark?

Indian guy ( really couldn't hide the accent) - said his name was Mark (obviously traditional Indian Name as it is - I bet his last name was Jones ?)
said he was calling from Brisbane City Council ...
I replied, "well this is an unusual call isn't it Mark"
background noise was a lot of chattering (Indian accents)
Anyway, Mark hung up ! bit rude don't you think ?
I know a lot of Indians (very nice folk) unsurprisingly non of which are called Mark?
In this can't I help but smell a waft of 10 week old 2nd hand Vindaloo !

Hung up as soon as i said hello. Also got 2 calls 1 week ago from a number that was the same, but different last 2 numbers and that did the same thing.

Called me while I was at work. Asian sounding lady on the phone asked if she was speaking to a Cordele (Not my name), I said no, then she hung up. Unable to call number back. Definitely something nefarious.

I registered my number with 'Do Not Call' yet this number has tried ringing me several times. The call today I recognised the number that I had Google checked previously and noted it being reported as a scam number and this time I was told they were from Australian Bureau of Statistics. Didnt believe them and hung up. Rang back to check and recorded message advised tel number not in service. Why cant Telecom do something about misuse of 'callback' numbers. They must be able to track and shut down. Sick and tired of unsolicited advertising and scam calls. If I want them I will ring them.

Seemed like a scam, but knew my first and last name. They hang up

Caller: claims to be from Australian Bureau of Statistics

after the second time calling me in a couple of days, I said, look I don't want to do your survey. Her response, "I don't care, I don't care" and then hung up

Missed due to driving, this number has called me 3 times this week but when i’ve tried to called back says its not in service

Likely a scam because as soon as I acknowledged they hung up. Made the cardinal mistake of saying ‘yes’.

I rang back number but recording stated 'check number as this is not in service'!! How?? Is this possible? Is someone on the fiddle? Sick of these calls

Miss calls when I ring back it won’t ring just says number not in service on google the number comes up reverse call number…. They won’t leave voicemail or message so I cannot contact back
