This wine company is cycling through different numbers every day - same prefix (0485 826 xxx) - they do not adhere to the "do not call register" and do not remove people from their database even when requested.

I have been getting calls every day for the past couple of weeks from different mobile numbers but all from same company. They had slowed down on the calls in recent times but it has ramped up again.
I once bought a case of wine from them as a one-off and had no intention of buying again, which I have explained to them on multiple occasions. This purchase was almost two years ago! This week I told them to stop calling me as I'm a recovering alcoholic (thinking perhaps that would make them stop). The guy genuinely sounded horrified that he's called me and apologised profusely yet today I have received another call.

James selling something. Just hang up.

Tell him random facts like perverts wink at people and make up stories about non-existent relationship with others. And lies will never override the truth. In a nutshell, put a problem on scammers that they don't know anything about but you know this will get back to the third party who it applies to. Because perverts are also stalkers.

Just hang up on them as soon as you hear his voice. You’re under no obligation to talk to him. Just tell him to go away and hang up. Be rude back. Or if that fails buy a whistle and blow it loud down the phone.

Knew my christian name, must have got it from my voice greeting on an earlier missed call. This nuisance is like a dog with a bone. I told him I buy nothing sight unseen and he then suggested I was a fool. (end of conversation)
