"Hi Mum" text msg scam

Hi. Got a message today that started Hi mum, this is my new number followed by a request for money to buy a new phone and pay a bill. Beware as they were also able to tell me my last name so obviously a data breach somewhere. Gave me a citybank of Sydney account number to deposit the money.

This number is dodgy, they say hey mum… then crap on about needing money then give you an account number to send them money.
