Got a call asking to speak to "person in charge or who handles payments". Claimed from Police (couldn't catch which department he said). Informed me that next year, organizing a booklet to help kids .... - cut him short and said he wasn't representing Police department, just a company who wants to supposedly print and distribute a booklet which no student is going to see and parents just dump. {I have previously contacted schools and parents about these various types of safety, drug, road safety etc booklets and they don't want them as they feel they are worthless.} Just a company looking to defraud businesses through false advertising promos.

Just got a call from this number and a lady said she was from some 'Federal Police Department'. Asked me if I knew about the drug and alcohol problems in my area where kids as young as 12 are taking ICE. Asked me if I, as a local business owner would be interested in sponsorship in some booklet they hand out to school kids? When I said no she went on to say that families are also able to sponsor, not just businesses.
Talk about a worrying call. As soon as I heard 'police' I thought something bad had happened to a family member

This number just called me as well, when I answered, no body spoke but the line definitely connected. I hung up after asking a few times if anyone was there.

This guy also went on with the same stuff to me but the big stand-out to me was his initial questioning about "do you know any police?" "are you sure you don't know any police in your local area?" I kept saying "what do you mean? In what way do you mean?" When he felt comfortable I didn't know any police he went on to say do I want to donate to some charity that would give me some certificate that I could hang on my wall in my work place. The only charity work the police do is for PCYC and they don't approach people from a mobile phone number asking if they know cops!. They have been reported to scam watch. My brother in law is a police officer but I didn't tell him that. Why would I?
