Caller: The Wine Club

Received another call from The Wine Club, being the fourth in a few weeks. I had asked them to delete my number from their register. The first three promised to do that. The fourth, which was today (11 February 2022), copped my wrath. When I asked him to delete my number, he said that he didn't have control over that!! The other three telemarketers said that they could and will do that. After trying nicely to have The Wine Club not call me any more on three previous occasions, I turned a little hostile. Maybe that that is the only language that they understand. Time will tell. I kept the bloke today on the line for over 10 minutes, before he hung up. He had tried every telemarketer trick in the book, to 'turn me around'. It didn't work. These people are insistent. Hopefully, I won't hear from them again. If I do, I will keep them on the line for as long as I can, place an order etc etc, sound enthused, and then hang up before they can get any payment details. Two can play this game!!
