The mongrels have called me 9 times in 2 days, I answer the first few times. I called back a few times...disconnected, I rang Optus saying it is from your place as it is connected then disconnected. They reckon not, I answered last time and said it was such and such police station, I heard talking etc like a call centre the sheila was Aussie and she hung up. Have not heard from that number since that call. Hoping for the last, will Ombudsman and police next, good luck every one.

Aust accent female said to be calling from 'Australian Institute of Research' conducting a survey. Survey supposedly relates to possible tax benefits for homeowners.
Asked her if listed on Google? She said probably (wouldn't she know if legit?) Not listed on Google.
Asked why ignoring 'Do Not Call' register, she said she wasn't aware and would take my number off list.
Obviously a scam, third call from them in a fortnight.

Like some of the other people called here, this number calls you and there is no-one at the other end when you answer. It is probably a 'predictive dialer', used by telemarketing and market research companies to target people who actually pick up....

Let's face the truth, read the fine print with the "do not call" crap, it excludes not for profit organisations(government funded). One that cannot provide a return contact raises red flags, let alone the ip/no caller ID ones like "dept human services". Honey badger don't give a sh*t if your on a "please scam me I'm sensitive" list. Honey badger has immunities. Local accent and educated here? I have the time of day to assist them with their research, with transparency, immunities reciprocal, how can you bill them for your time? Is a two way street when it comes to information gathering, it takes two to tango? X/Y+1(5-1) = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intelligence_agency

Claim to be from the "Australian research institute"(ASIO?) which I question. I asked for a contact number, this was not willingly provided by the woman with a Australian accent(Sydney), I Called the "Australasian" research institute(division of a Adventist hospital in Wahroonga?), receptionist/secretary stated they have no call list and make no such calls? Informed ARI of possible impersonators. What is of concern is that the caller ID phone number 0481 258 750 from the suspect "impersonators", according to Optus(Singtel) has been disconnected. Sophisticated deception never wins, Red flags waving at contact centres Australia, oh the "guberment" we fund and our excessive and wasted taxes. Seeming they have your personal contact number, we should expect equality(1. verified contact info) before disclosing what colour underpants your wearing. The guberment funded SES VA and raffles, what the fk for? Is a crock of sh*t, look it up. Tell them to call Gina Rinehart and/or Malcom and friends for donations, their manager should have their contact details.

Got a call yesterday - when I answered, nobody spoke. Said Hello again - almost hung up, then a woman answered. Never identified herself. I asked who was calling - she said 'how are you today?' I replied, I am sick & again asked who was calling. She hung up without responding.

Answer phone. Silence. Hello? Hello? Anyone there? Silence. Hello? Silence.

Search for number on reverseaustralia.com - ah! Yet another company or individuals who don't have any respect for DO NOT CALL legislation, and aren't the least concerned if they breach that leglislation.

Why be concerned when all they get is a slap on the wrist?

Do it again, again, again.

Then re-invent company - not due to fines or legislation - but because consumers have actively reported their names and numbers here and they can no longer pull the wool over someone's eyes.

Re-invent - do it again, again, again.
