Asking for someone I don’t know

Caller: Irene Bell

This is a random scam from a call centre most likely collecting debt asking for a random person with same surname asking for my address and DOB. Refused to tell me what CO calling from but I located name as Irene Belll
Blocked and reported as a unsolicited call trying to gather someone's private info. Invasive call!

Caller: Name was Anthea apparently

Was looking for my sister. Knew her name, number and address. All she could tell me was that it was a personal matter.

Told me to pass on said details below,

But called off this number 0480 039 417. Said she'd call back in a week or 2 to confirm the message was passed on 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Rang the real estate I work for asking for clients contact information which I refused to disclose. Said her name was Shekinah & refused to give me the company she worked for. Most likely a debt collector.

Called asking for somebody I hadn’t spoken to or seen in years! When I asked how they got my number they lied and said Facebook (I don’t have Facebook) and when I asked what company they work for they wouldn’t tell me.. police report has been made for harassment. If you can’t tell me your business name you’re clearly somebody very dodgy.

Caller: Chris

Chris called asking for my neighbour's name and number. Said I didn't know. Asked how he got my details and he said "due to the nature of the matter he couldn't say" but it was from a customer database of some sort. Told him that it was a rbeach of privacy him having my details without my consent.. Left pretty quickly.

Just received a call from a female operator claiming to be looking for someone who had the same last name as me. When I asked why they contacted me tey said they matched up my last name with the person they were looking for and I said "What if you were looking for a John Smith? Would you call Every Smith? She did not respond.
I asked how they got my number? "sorry cannot disclose that", I asked what details of mine do they have ? "sorry cannot disclose that" what is the name of the company you work for? "sorry cannot disclose that" Can I have my data removed from the database? "No unfortunately not"
Super dodgy.

Caller: Craig

Called asking for an employee, told him I could not get him on the phone so could I take a message, he then gave me a landline (02) 8836 4365. After a little research it looks like a company called Complete Credit Solutions the beginning of the number is the same only difference is the last three digits which is the callers extension.

Caller: Alex

Called and asked if i knew a person and I said yes. Then they tell me that they got my number being an affiliated contact via that person's social media then asked if i can get a message to that person. What a ridiculously stupid and illegal practice. Using MY number for their business. At no stage have i provided my number to them to call me! And rejecting the call doesn't stop them from calling back multiple times either! Absolute f*cking nuisances.

They called me asking for an Edman or Emden? name rings a bells but not to sure, asking if i could pass on message, i asked them who did were they suppose to call a ben Fisk? i knew someone by that name in highschool which is weird as.

Damn some of y’all are funny how is it a scam when they’re not asking for your details and just asking to pass on a message

Called asking about a girl I lived with 12 years ago.
Don’t know how they got my number. Such a weird scam

“We are a private company in Sydney - until you confirm your name I can’t tell you where I’m from”. Didn’t confirm my name, won’t be taking any more calls. Seems dodgy??

Called me while I was out so I didn’t answer as I didn’t recognise the number, went to voicemail and no message left, number is now blocked

Scammer, Telco message Suspicious, left to go to answering service. No message left. Block number it can only be a bad outcome for you.

Caller: A dodgy company

I have held and still hold a federal government security clearance and worked with confidential and classified materials, that never stopped me giving my name or the company I work for. These people hide behind "We are a private company in Sydney, can't give more than that for security" - even companies that are dealing with NV2 or PV material still identify themselves so there is no legitimate reason to withhold the name.

They report to Matthew who is the head King sh*t (claiming to be the Manager). They called me looking for a 'Lachlan' but refused to say which company they are. Looking at the comments it seems they are a debt collection company. Not giving your name is a tactic so scummy even RecoveryCorp and Marshall Freeman don't do it.

If you get a call from these muppets, don't call back. Alternatively, if you have spare time like I did this morning, keep calling them and harrassing them. Every second they waste with you is a second they can't scam others.

They are a scummy debt collection agency. They are not legal, they are not licenced which is why they won't give details.
