I just got a call from that number, offering me a new, you beaut android phone with my same number on it for 'nothing up front'. The person knew I was on prepaid and when asked I informed the caller that I spent $5 a month, $30 for a 6 month recharge, and right then the caller simply hung up. I'm not holding my breath waiting for a second call and if they ring again, *I* will be the one doing the hanging up.

Person thought my name was my business name I.e. Mr. Xyz(insert business name!!)
I pretended we had a bad line and he ended up cancelling the call. Bogus operator and second call in one week

Really annoying. Claims to be from Optus 3G network and advises that you will receive a free handset and asks you to sign up for cheap plans. If he's from Optus, he doesn't know your name or the plan you are currently on. Says that I'm on prepaid when I'm not. Then when you quiz him, he hangs up. Not sure what the go is but beware.
