It is genuine...surprisingly enough...police looking for sponsors for their drug education programs in schools. I paid 330 to sponsor and be advertised I'm their educational books..which I have received. Have also had a police officer come out and talk to my youth group because of it

Got called by a Jamie Dawson offering me advertising in an AFP journal. He sent me an email to which I said I would respond. He then called me back later that same day saying that his server was down, so that if I had replied to the email I would have to resend it! I told him I was in the middle of work and he showed very little respect for that, just tried to keep chatting until I basically had to hang up on him. Thanks for the tip offs, I just thought he was pushy and now I know he's fraudulent. Can't wait til he calls back again.

What a dill , I was almost scammed!!! Got a call months ago from ' vic pol PCYC' a program I already familiar with (as I Am in vic welfare) guy went on a speil about program education kids about substance use in high schools .. And would advertise my business in newsletters if I would sponsor... Somewhere along the lines of 350 or there abouts (could do installments) as I am small business. Naively I said 'great' local program sounds legit would be happy to sponsor. Then doing some research in to it .... Got spam coming up all over the place. Keep getting calls from them. I've said I'm out of the deal. They called AGAIN tonight and I missed the call, so I phoned back and said ' number is incomplete' ... Can't believe I fell for that one. They are good!

A young man with British accent claiming to be from Federal police called pitching advertising of my business in some police publication as it would be such a great assistance to the police blah blah . They got my details via facebook apparently . Funny thing is i work in and out of busy police holding cells in Adelaide so knew straight away it wasnt legit . I told them i worked in conjunction with SA police and it didnt faze him , i questioned the number he was calling from being a visable mobile number ,the method of obtaining my details and still didnt faze him. As soon as i said i was no longer running the business the guy couldnt end the call fast enough

Just had a spiel about being from a Tasmanian Police association wanting my business to commit to sponsorship for a youth fund. I don't have a business for starters then when he told me it was $330, and that it could be paid in installments, Ha!! Told him I was on a pension and I could not afford such a large amount and he hung up on me. Tosser

We received a call this morning from a youngish type male with a rough/bogus style of speech calling himself Lee Capplan or (Kapplan, Caplin, Kaplin). First claiming to be a NSW Police Officer and then going on to say he was working for a company called Country Wide Austral in Victoria, who, allegedly, prints articles for the NSW police. This person was trying to sell me some advertising. BE CAREFUL!!!
I rang the company and then the NSW Police HQ to check if they use this company to print the magazine this person was claiming to represent and gave them all his details. I strongly urge that you do the same if this should happen to you.

A Patrick Williams called from this number looking for sponsorship for Police actions, highly dodgy explanations. When I asked where I could verify all this on the Internet, he directed me to a site called Ozpol.org, which of course does not exist.

Have had numerous calls from this and a few numbers similar all claiming to be Aust Federal Police, selling advertising in a Youth Handbook. I'm blocking the numbers as they come up now. Very much over it!
