Oh great, well I've just had this happen to me..

Was it through Gumtree? Have you been able to do anything about it?
I've contacted gumtree and reported it to Australian Cybercrime Online Reporting Network, both today. So still just waiting for a reply.

number is a scam who will respond to people who post 'want to by adverts
saying they have the item (usually an Iphone 6) to sell and to transfer payment but you will never see the items or your money again.
