Caller: John Murphy

leaflet left in letterbox. Contracted 'John Murphy' - a charming, complimentary, and affable Irishman "gift of the gab" - to make repairs on our roof. Regrettably, $8,500 later and we have worse issues than the original problems. John didn't do any of the work himself but an offsider - Chris - did the sub-standard and sometimes unnecessary work. After a rain storm when leaks were revealed on the 'repaired roof', we contacted him and was told that '..Chris will be out on Saturday" to fix it up. Never arrived, no response to repeated phone calls. A conman. Work was done in March 2022.

I was not impressed by him so was not going to go with his prices.
