I received an SMS afrom this number about a taxi booking for today which I had never made - with a link to click on, which I didn't. Interestingly, I took a taxi to the address stated more than 6 weeks ago,

Caller: I suspect it was scam

Somebody has stolen a lot of my details via internet. I got one call last Friday trying to get my banking details & suggesting there'd been a large transaction to USA (false). At some stage, WA was also mentioned. After I hung up on him, there were numerous attempts to call back. Bank confirmed it was scam & I now have to get ipad wiped - a v expensive exercise.
Another call yesterday told me there'd been 3 attempts to get into my a/c via internet, but internet access had already been blocked.
This last call, from above number, purported to be from my internet provider asking if I was ready to sign up.I’ve been a customer for several years & have monthly direct debits. Recently, I did have occasion to have a detailed discussion with them. My phone indicated that the call came from Perth, WA, but my company doesn’t have an office there.

they were very much a clutz situation would indicate thieves via the electronic media
