Trying to state that I am in trouble with the tax dept. Trying to get me to press 1 and follow the instructions. Had a call previous day from another mobile number 0432 670 638 trying the same thing. THIS IS NOT ATO. ATO WILL NEVER CALL FROM A MOBILE NUMBER. ATO WILL NOT CALL AT ALL. They will send snail mail through Auspost and send messages through MyGov.

If ATO does call it will only be when the taxpayer has initiated contact with the ATO first and they are returning YOUR call. This will also appear to come from a landline with an area code due to how Companies and Govt Dept's are provided phone numbers by telecommunications Companies.
