Caller: Supposedly Amazon - robot voice Received a call from this number. Foreign-sounding, robotic voice telling me my Amazon account (don’t have one) will be renewed for $39.99999999. Of I wanted to stop membership or speak to an operator, I had to press 1. Did nothing, and waited. After about 10 seconds the call dropped out. I’ve had similar calls in the past. The previous one I sent the number a text message to ‘GET F*CKED’. Two minutes later a guy called me and asked me if I sent his girlfriend the abusive text. I told him about the spam call, and that obviously his gf phone had been hacked. I apologised. He said it was not a problem given the circumstances and he would follow it up with her Telco.
